Akdital Opens a State-of-the-Art Oncology Center in Benguérir

The newly inaugurated International Oncology Center in Benguérir marks a significant milestone in cancer care. Equipped with cutting-edge technology, this facility offers comprehensive and specialized services in a modern and patient-friendly environment. With a capacity of 81 inpatient beds, the center is dedicated to delivering advanced oncological treatments and personalized care.

A key feature of the center is its advanced radiotherapy accelerator, enabling precise and targeted cancer treatments. It also includes 23 chemotherapy chairs in a comfortable and contemporary setting. The nuclear medicine department is equipped with a PET scan, essential for accurate oncological diagnostics, and a gamma camera for bone scintigraphy. Additionally, the department provides facilities for radioactive iodine treatments, effectively addressing thyroid cancer and other specific conditions.

The center boasts six modern operating rooms designed for complex surgical interventions, supported by 18 intensive care unit beds to ensure comprehensive post-operative care. For critical cases, the facility includes eight resuscitation units, ensuring immediate and efficient management of emergencies.

A seamless patient care journey is a priority at this center, from admission to discharge. Patients are greeted with personalized services and directed efficiently to the relevant departments. The facility houses a state-of-the-art medical laboratory capable of performing an extensive range of tests, alongside a radiology unit equipped with advanced tools such as MRI, CT scans, mammography, X-ray, and ultrasound. These capabilities enable precise diagnostics, treatment planning, and ongoing monitoring.

To address emergencies, the center operates a 24/7 emergency service, ensuring immediate response to critical situations. All medical data is managed through a centralized and secure digital system, facilitating efficient coordination among medical teams and ensuring optimal patient care.

Strategically located within the Health Care City, this center aims to establish Benguérir as a regional hub for healthcare excellence, research, and innovation. Its proximity to UM6P enhances its role as a pioneer in innovative healthcare solutions, contributing to the delivery of high-quality medical services in the region.

The International Oncology Center in Benguérir underscores a commitment to advancing healthcare infrastructure and improving cancer care in Morocco. This initiative is set to significantly enhance access to specialized treatments and reinforce the region's position as a leader in health innovation.
